A:=  (1/5) * $$\begin{pmatrix} -3 & -4 \\ 4 & -3 \end{pmatrix}$$

x = $$\left( \begin{matrix} 2 \\ 1 \end{matrix} \right) $$

a) Bestimmen Sie die Längen von ||x|| und ||A*x||

    ||x|| =  $$\sqrt [ 2 ]{ { 2 }^{ 2 }+{ 1 }^{ 2 } } =\sqrt { 5 }$$

    ||A*x|| = ?

Jetzt zu meiner Frage, wie bestimme ich nun ||A*x||??

Laut der Formel die ich kenne, müsste ich folgendes tun: ||A*x|| = |A| * ||x||

was ist mit |A| gemeint? der betrag der matrix? oder soll das die Determinante sein?  oder muss ich erst (A*x) ausrechnen, um damit dann die Länge auszurechnen?

Hallo Tina,

eine Matrix hat keine Länge. Also musst Du zunächst \(A \cdot x\) berechen. Das geht so: $$A \cdot x = \frac{1}{5} \begin{pmatrix} -3 & -4 \\ 4 & -3\end{pmatrix} \cdot \begin{pmatrix} 2 \\ 1\end{pmatrix}= \frac{1}{5} \begin{pmatrix} -3 \cdot 2 + -4 \cdot 1 \\ 4 \cdot 2 + -3\cdot 1\end{pmatrix} = \frac{1}{5} \begin{pmatrix} -10 \\5\end{pmatrix}=\begin{pmatrix} -2 \\1\end{pmatrix}$$

.. und vom Ergebnis die Länge zu bestimmen, schaffst Du allein.
