Mathematik versteh es nicht

Aufgabe: ich nehme 40 von meiner Zahl weg. Ich bekomme 39 mehr als 18.

Problem/Ansatz: ich verstehe es einfach nicht.

Ich nehme 40 von meiner Zahl x weg: x-40.

x=97

meine Zahl ist 97.
