(a) Bestimme den Rang der Matrix \( A \) in Abhängigkeit von \( r \).
(b) Bestimme alle \( r \in \mathbb{R} \), für die das Gleichungssystem \( A x=b \) lösbar ist.
(c) Für welche \( r \in \mathbb{R} \) ist die Lösung eindeutig?

Die haben euch keine Formel beigebracht, wie man den Rang einer Matrix bestimmt?????


Ist dir auch nicht bewusst, dass für r=2 die erste und die zweite Zeile der Matrix identisch sind?

Willkommen in der Mathelounge... \o/

zu a) Eine quadratsiche Matrix hat vollen Rang, wenn ihre Determinante \(\ne0\) ist:

$$\left|\begin{array}{rrr}1 & 2 & 1\\1 & r & 1\\1 & r & 2\end{array}\right|=\left|\begin{array}{rrr}1 & 2 & 0\\1 & r & 0\\1 & r & 1\end{array}\right|=r-2$$Für \(r\ne2\) hat die Matrix den vollen Rang \(3\).

Für \(r=2\) sind die erste und zweite Spalte kollinear, die Matrix hat dann nur noch Rang \(2\).

zu b) Für \(r\ne2\) ist das Gleichungssystem eindeutig lösbar, weil die Matrix invertierbar ist und so die eindeutige Lösung \(x=A^{-1}\cdot b\) berechnet werden kann. Für \(r=2\) gilt:$$\begin{array}{rrr|c|l}x & y & z & = &\text{Aktion}\\\hline1 & 2 & 1 & 1 &\\1 & 2 & 1 & 1 &-\text{Zeile 1}\\1 & 2 & 2 & 2 &-\text{Zeile 1}\\\hline1 & 2 & 1 & 1 &-\text{Zeile 3}\\0 & 0 & 0 & 0 &\\0 & 0 & 1 & 1 &\\\hline1 & 2 & 0 & 0 &\Rightarrow x+2y=0\\0 & 0 & 0 & 0 &\\0 & 0 & 1 & 1 &\Rightarrow z=1\end{array}$$Das heißt, für \(r=2\) gibt es unendlich viele Lösugen:$$\begin{pmatrix}x\\y\\z\end{pmatrix}=\begin{pmatrix}-2y\\y\\1\end{pmatrix}=\begin{pmatrix}0\\0\\1\end{pmatrix}+y\begin{pmatrix}-2\\1\\0\end{pmatrix}$$

zu c) Das hatten wir schon oben. Für \(r\ne2\) ist die Lösung eindeutig.
